Last Monday was my day off, so instead of doing errands around town or laundry (which is my LEAST favorite chore)-- I decided to take advantage of Casey's access to the boat. The last time I went out on Trilogy was before our wedding, so it was long overdue :) My girlfriend Sarah also had the day off, so we both had so much fun relaxing out in the beautiful Maui sun!

Usually when I go on the boat I just kind of lay... I'll lounge on the deck with my fluffy towel and new magazine, I'll eat all the snacks, gaze at the other islands and just kind of let my mind wander. You'll rarely see me jump in the water-- which makes me so weird and boring because that's why everyone goes on the boat. Well, last Monday I turned a new leaf and found a brand new hobby! The place the boat took us to snorkel is only about 40 ft deep, and when Sarah and I were swimming around I had this overwhelming urge to want to touch the bottom. So I kept trying to dive down farther and farther. Of course, your ears feel like they are going to blow up only 5 ft down in the ocean, so Casey came in and kept coaching me to equalize my ears every few feet. I was no where close to reaching the bottom, but I've been bitten by the diving bug. All I can think about is wanting to go back in the water and go as far down as I can in one breath. I am so excited that I've finally found an ocean sport that I'm actually excited about. Living in Hawaii, you really do have to LOVE ocean sports because that's the only thing we've got over here! If you live here and don't like the ocean, good luck. It's a good thing Casey is so experienced in water things, I can't wait for him to teach me more tips and tricks for diving, maybe I'll even be than better him! hehehe :)
