Fall is here!

I love Fall. I enjoy everything about it. The crisp cold air that makes your nose run a little, the orangey reddish leaves, the pumpkin scones at Starbucks omg, tights and boots and sweaters and beanies, sigh. Maui is beautiful and I suppose many people would love to have the opportunity to live here, but since I am a Santa Barb girl I find myself missing me a little chill in the air.

Casey and I have been housesitting his parent's house while they've been away and last night I decided to pretend like it was fall. We turned up the AC so it was freezing and I baked the BEST pumpkin spice cookies ever. The smell of pumpkin and spice filled the cold air and for a moment it felt like home. Casey said these were the BOMB and are now his favorite cookies. At first I was skeptical because they only include two ingredients, but I was being judgmental. Absolutely amazing. Casey had like 7 cookies while I had 3. And then I ate them again this morning for breakfast. Yes I did.

Here's the recipe.

1 box spice cake mix
1 can pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix, but real pumpkin) (15 oz)

Bake at 350 for 15-20 min or until firm.

You can also add chocolate chips.

Top with cream cheese frosting.

Happy Fall! Enjoy it wherever you are :)
